MetaHuman 1.2.3 Released!

What’s New

This release focuses on some fixes against the exported MetaHuman rig when using the animation faceboard in Unreal Engine 5.

Note: For any MetaHumans that you have previously downloaded, you will have to update them in MetaHuman Creator to receive the fixes. The easiest way to do this is to go into the editor (hit “Edit selected”), and then return to the My MetaHumans gallery.

Bug Fixes

All fixes apply to the MetaHuman Facial Rig between the Control Rig Faceboard and the Rig Logic node.

  • The following attributes were misbehaving in the inverse rig from Rig Logic to Faceboard and have been corrected. These changes only affect users baking from the Rig Logic attributes back to Faceboard that might have noticed and corrected for them (corrections won’t be necessary any longer).
    • CTRL_C_jaw.X was inverted and has been fixed
    • CTRL_R_Eye.X Was disconnected and could twitch; it’s now appropriately connected
    • CTRL_L_Eye.X was erroneously mapped to CTRL_C_Eye.X and is now properly connected to the left eye control
  • The following attributes were erroneously mapped in the forward rig. Animation Curves on these attributes, if they were used at all, will need to be corrected
    • CTRL_L_eyelashes_tweakerOut is inverted
    • CTRL_R_eyelashes_tweakerOut is inverted
