Mesh wireframe jankynes

Can someone explain why this crazy wireframe view of meshes happens to me? Is it a bug in the editor or am I not enabling proper settings?
When viewing meshes in wireframe, they are usually represented by odd triangular shapes even when they are rectangles. I have to enable collision display to see the actual shape of the mesh. I have included some screenshots to illustrate the problem. Version UE4 4.22.4.
