Mesh Sections without cutting the Mesh?

Hi,

i have a Mesh and i wanna create mesh sections, so i can control certain sections within a Procedural Mesh.

Is it possible to create sections without cutting the mesh into pieces?

So i can read out only a section within a procedural mesh.

I’m not familiar with Procedural Mesh, but in case of Static Mesh each section relates to applied Material ID. So in a 3D modeling software of your choice select required polygons (or elements) and apply different material to it.
