mesh and gradient

Does anyone know how to create a mask like the image below with a procedural map? creating a gradient on the edge of the meshes.

Hi Bill,

This seems similar/identical to “signed distance fields”. Take a look at this community tutorial to see if you can find anything applicable to what you’re trying to accomplish.

Also the UI Material Lab relies heavily on SDFs. (There was a good livestream if you want to go deep on that)
