Hello, I’m a newer UE4 user, convert from Unity. I’ve published several games and very comfortable in C#, but am experiencing some limitations using BPs in UE4. I have several questions after my fist few weeks withing the space, hopefully some more experienced developers can offer some guidance.
1 - Is it possible to BP & C++ together in a project. I noticed when starting a project you select either or. How would one go about starting a project on the basis of BP, then add C++ to extend functionality?
2 - If I get a pawn & motioncontrolller in my project working the way I’d like, then buy an asset from the marketplace that I would like to extend those classes, how can I merge the functionality into one. I’m copying/pasting to no avail, it seems there are dependencies that stick to the new ones from the marketplace (ex steamchaperone, getbounds, etc). I’ve seen a bit about a merge feature in the BP window, but have read it is limited or doesn’t actually merge?
3 - If I’m looking for 1-1 ($$ paid) webex training on these sort of BP items, is there an internal UE4 pool of developers that offer teach-by example to assist with my projects?
