Merging Components using Control Points

Hi all,

I was able to find 8/9 useful control points (100s+ of pics); however, when trying to merge the components (two elements: Photogrammetry and SLAM LiDAR, respectively), the result is the same as merging without the control points. I have also tried changing the CP weight from standard to 100.

Is there any way to force RC to use only the identified CPs?

Thank you in advance.

Hi, are you using georeferenced data? If so, are both of them in the same coordinate system? Also, have you tried to use Align images button? Merge components works only for imported components.

Yes both use the same coordinates (RTK active), and yes tried to align images - the issues, I guess, it is the fact that the SLAM pic are not perfect (it makes some kind of stiched 360 degree pic, had to do the an e57 file following this procedure (Link).

Moreover, sometime I lose the CP precision on the slam data

Thank you for your support!

This could be a reason, that SLAM is not supported in RealityScan now.
Can you try to turn off the camera priors (georeferencing) and then align the data.
Also, for now you can try to import the SLAM as Aerial LiDAR to see if that will be possible to align.

What is the result of your alignment?

It just flip wrongly the pic based component.

Is it correct that there is no elements of actual alignment between pic and lidar data? I saw some videos and there is always “numbers” in all the listed elements….

In any case I’ll give it a shot in importing it as Aerial Data….and try it!
