Merged Actors vs Seperate Actors lighting problem

Hi I am new to UE5 and I am currently facing a problem with my tree asset.

The tree on the left (expected behaviour) is a tree that has 2 seperate assets (Trunk and Leaves)

The tree on the right (the problem) is the same tree but all I did was merge the Trunk and Leaves to one static mesh. Using this button:

Now you probably already see the problem, and it is that they are basically two diffrent colors. This is not what I am expecting, I want the right tree to look like the left one.

How would I go about fixing this? (Sorry if this post has already been covered, I tried searching and couldn’t find anything. And since I am new it’s harder to search for stuff and find solutions.)

Hello, did you find a solution or what causing the problem?

I’m encountering the same problem, but here’s what I found out: you can “merge” static meshes either by using Actor > Convert Actors To Static Mesh and Tools > Merge Actors … to me, the Convert Actors To Static Mesh worked with expected behavior, the lights and shadows worked correctly but didn’t merge the materials and now there are 12 material instead of 2 and placed the pivot somewhat randomly (?), Merge Actors did a better job combining materials and for some reason better pivot placement, but with the lights and shadows clearly wrong.

I’m using 5.3.2, in project browser, my project was created with maximum quality preset and raytracing checked.
