Mergable Blueprints, Perforce and Typemaps

With the impending release of mergeable blueprints. I’m wondering if it might be useful to change blueprints to use a new extension. Something like .umasset (unreal mergeable asset). This would allow us to separate files that must have exclusive locks from ones that can be merged in our p4 typemap. A generic extension denoting mergability would also easily handle any future releases that allow for additional mergeable types.

Makes perfect sense to me - I support this motion

Also, it’d nice to be able to launch the diff/merge tool standalone from perforce (so one can diff across branches, longer histories, pick and choose changes etc).

This would be awesome.
