I’m fighting with a bug I keep getting in the engine. My tool menus, right click menus, and BP graph menus all stop working. The flicker for a frame before instantly closing themselves. Not allowing for me to even save the project outside of Ctrl+S. I can move stuff around in the world, and duplicate BP nodes. But everything that involves getting a list of options, like right clicking an asset or even zipping the project (inside the File menu) will just flicker and close themselves instantly, or not show up at all.
I’ve reinstalled the Unreal Engine and swapped from 5.6 to 5.7. I’ve tried restarting my PC over and over and over again. I’ve swapped to using only a single monitor, even reverting my graphics drivers back to older more stable versions to no success.
I’ve seen people have these issues in the past and talk about Nvidia drivers as a solution, but sadly I have an AMD GPU (6700xt) so that wont do anything for me. Feels like I’ve tried everything and its destroying my pace that I’ve had developing my game as I’m restarting upwards of 50 times a day to combat this issue. Please I will try anything.
I figured I would include as much info as possible, so something I’ve noticed before, the issue happens quicker if I split up my unreal windows (like having my Blueprints on the other screen with the editor open on my main screen.) I even notice when I click on something on the world while I was previously clicking on my BP window, it will flick back and forth in my task bar showing that its refocusing my BP graph and not now focusing the world I had open in the other screen.
I was able to work for a month and a half without getting this issue, and now its been about 2 weeks straight of fighting it, Thank you for your time.
EDIT SOLUTION: Turned out to be the Discord Overlay, I found right after writing up this thread, Even just closing down discord will fix it, but I’ve just turned off the DIscord Overlay.
