IN THIS UPCOMING SERIES,
I START MY JOURNEY TO LEARN #UNREALENGINE5 USING MY OLD / GTX 1050 TI /
this is my second experiment using the engine and I’m impressed by the amount of geometry on my viewport, wish it’s something I never managed to achieve before.
We welcome you the Unreal Engine community with open virtual arms!
Thank you for sharing your journey to learn UE5 with us! Your project shows a very interesting display of light and shadow. The soft, yet brilliance of the light evokes a feeling of warmth and adventure - as if we’re getting a sunny peek into an undisclosed location with a mystery waiting to be discovered.
Please tell us. What was your inspiration for the environment? Does the graffiti have any personal significance? Did you create any of the assets? Are you self-taught or did you study at university?
thank you first of all for that nice welcome, really appreciate it.
the inspiration came from the UE5 Splash Screen artwork and wanted to stay in my safe zone ( graphic design mixed with CG ) to focus more on learning the engine workflow .
Nothing in this project has any significance or a specific art direction, because this was for learning how to use the Megascans assets such as decals/paint geometry / a more cinematic look .
since 2016 I stopped extruding Logos/typography / Calligraphy because no matter how good your 2d design is the 3D extruded model is always missing Z space details, that’s why a come up with a way to re-model any Type/symbols with extra details and look, this helps your 3D logo to pop and catch reflection way better.
