Hear you loud and clear 
I previewed some of the VFX creation tools in UEFN a couple weeks ago and work is still ongoing. Some workflows will be enabled sooner and some will be delayed until later. We’ll keep you updated.

Any update on this? Doesn’t look like we can use our own VFX yet with this device it seems.
