Medieval Food Stall - 3D Environment

Hi everyone, im finally sharing my first Unreal engine project which i have been working on from a while and had tons of fun doing it and i learnt a lot of new tools and techniques along the way.
I love how the end result turned out. Let me know how you like it. Feedback is welcome. Cheers!

Hey there @MaNIaC39000,

Not sure if you made the assets in this or solely did level design but this scene looks terrific either way. The meadow, fruit shop, and walkway arch are all such beautiful pieces that made me desperately miss summertime. :joy:

Are you planning on developing a game around this scene or simply practicing your Unreal skills?

Thanks @PresumptivePanda . The stall, boat and the contents in them including a few smaller items scattered around are mine, the rest are from Quixel Bridge/Megascans. You can check out this Breakdown link to see details : https://www.artstation.com/artwork/PegQOr

I’m not yet planning to make a game around this as i’m noob and was getting 24 FPS during runtime. And yes, missing summertime was what i wa going for. :joy: :joy:

Looks fantastic! You did a great job of world creation and detailing. The lighting looks really clean, think you did a good job there too
The map looked excelent, I wish I could make stuff like that haha.

One piece of advice I say to a lot of people with foliage is with the wind, less is more.
Wind is really hard to get right, best thing to do is go outside and watch trees for 10 mins, try to look at different wind strengths and what that wind does to other things in your environment.
If thick parts of the trees are swaying from strong wind, then falling leaves and tents will be severely affected by the wind too. This will take a lot of time to get right, even fiddleing with the assets takes time to get the right look you want, but the results look very convincing.

The only other thing I could possible give as feedback is a personal prefference for slower camera moves, mimicing the speed of a real cameras either on foot or drone shots really help make it look more realistic, but that depends on what kind of style you are going for.

Looks awesome man, the stall is very detailed and a very lush forest. I also appreciated your detailed audio and atmospheric sounds.

Thanks @antxion and thanks for the feedback as well. Looking back now i see all these little things that wouldav made a big difference like the wind observation you mentioned. Camera wise i needed to fit my scene in a small time frame so the movement is fast and i played around with the camera shake very subtly , i guess its not noticable. I will surely keep in mind what you said for my next environment.

@MaNIaC39000 absolutely stunning! so much inspired!

I’m learning UE right now to create this kind enviroment and on top of this educational experience showcasing how diffrent habitat spaces work and look. It would be kind of self-sufficient village 3.0.

I’m looking for a UE-mentor for paid mentorship meetings to help me go through this process. Would you be willing to speak with me from time to time about my project and share your insights?

What you have acomplished is truely what I’m looking for.

All I can say is that it looks absolutely amazing! I can’t wait to see your new projects in the future.
