Hello, I am having problems with the media player movie texture and sound files not syncing up during playback.
I have tried with an wmv that has sound to extract the sound as a media sound wave, but this just sounds like Hissing when I drop into the scene to listen to it. So I am using a wmv video without sound and a wav sound file both created out of the same video editing software and confirmed to be in sync there. However when played back in Unreal the movie file plays faster then the sound and is not in sync. Changing the Auto play Rate on the movie to 0.97 seems to get it closer to sync, but seems to vary. I know the media player is considered a WIP, but do you have any workarounds to get the sound and video to sync reliably?
I’m also unclear on how unreal is handling frame rate on things. For example, say I create an animation in maya at 30fps and import to unreal, Or I make a video clip that is at 30 fps and import. Now say when unreal is playing back it is running at 60fps. Is the animation or video clip now playing back twice as fast? Is unreal creating new frames and still running everything at 30fps? Is it doing hold frames?? How does this work???
Any explanations would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks!
i have the same problem! SOS
