I seem to have issue with the video codec in unreal. I tried several avi and mp4 video files with different codecs they all show up black in the media player (screenshot) while sound works fine.
Video is in Content/Movies
I tried serval playback options and WmfMedia options in the Project settings - nothing helps
I have also so many problems with this playing system. IT’S A MESS
I always make it work somehow, but it takes 30 random attempts until it works, and I never know why it stopped working, or why it works again.
Hope one day they make it work properlly
I think switching to Directx11 in your project settings might fix this.
