Media Creation Names

First off, I'm a new user and I love the program! After using it for only a couple of weeks I can see things that seem to slow down the workflow. When creating a new Image, Pano, Video, etc. It would be VERY nice if instead of just automatically adding the name "image1.2.3" etc. if it would prompt you for the name. Or at least be able to double click on a name to rename it instead of clicking on the ellipsis every single time. This is important because it also uses that name to name the file, which if you forget to rename it within Twinmotion you have to do it again in explorer. It would also be nice if we could group into folders the images, panos, videos, etc. within Twinmotion to help manage the large number of images etc that can be generated. Thank You for considering my suggestions ✌️

HI ,

Thanks for sharing your feedback. If you haven't already, I recommend also submitting your feedback on our public roadmap here, as the roadmap is the best place to submit feature requests or enhancements and is regularly reviewed by the development team.

Best,

Raghib

I agree with these comments - my big collection of Image thumbnails are taking a long time to regenerate. I would really like to "archive" the ones I'm not currently using in a project so that they don't get regenerated each time I open the file.

On renaming media clips/ images - yes, I'd like to control the naming convention for renderings and certainly would prefer to click twice on a name to make it editable, rather than find the three dots and select from Rename/ Delete/ Duplicate.Screenshot 2023-01-26 122747

By the way, I have already submitted this idea to the roadmap ( https://twinmotionhelp.epicgames.com/s/question/0D54z00007iKI8eCAG/scene-graph-collapsible-containers-and-archive-saved-views?language=en_US ) six months ago. It does not seem to have made it into the "Under consideration" category.

Hi,

It may take some time before feedback is processed and added to the roadmap, as the development team works through the current backlog and has to prioritize between all of the feedback that we receive. We also don't want there to be too many items on the roadmap at once, so some things may still be considered but may not be displayed depending on the scope and scale of the request.

Just know that your feedback is being reviewed and not being ignored.

Best,

Raghib

Thanks Raghib, of course - I understand that there’s a lot to do. I appreciate that our feeback is still on the radar.
