Maya to Unreal - texture not fully importing

Hello all! How exciting, my first post!

I’m a fairly old dog when it comes to CG…mostly a hobbiest…and I’m really enjoying the learning process for UE4. However, there are always stumps…and I’m stumped. I’ve searched for a bit, but couldn’t find an answer, so I’m hoping one of you amazing people can help me.

I’ve created a table in Maya…the table top and the legs are grouped. I’ve UVmapped them both appropriately. I then export fbx the group in Maya. When I import the static mesh in UE4, the legs are textured but not the top…what am I missing?

For the people which could help you maybe you should do a screen cap of your UV placement, I stopped maya but I remember havind some similar trouble, then I open the mesh with Zbrush saved again then when I imported it in Blender the trouble was solved !

Looks like the objects surface might be split into two elements, blinn1 and blinn2, in maya make sure that the same shader is applied to all parts of the mesh.
