Maya to UE4

Hey Guys,
I am new to Maya but not to UE4. I have been trying everything to import an FBX from Maya to UE4 and I cannot for the life of me figure it out.

I got this model from the internet and rigged it. I intended to use it with facefx, which imports the model no problem. Textures, Animations, everything is perfect in FaceFX. UE4 on the other hand… not so much. I need the attached export options because I use a blend shape for the blink but everything else is bone based.

I’ve attached a few screens shots. The Motion system in my hierarchy drives the animations and no matter what I bake, I can’t delete it. That causes export problems as it throws the multiple roots error if I export blend shapes.

If I don’t export blend shapes, it will import the FBX, but it won’t load my textures. It loads an LOD with only two textures as seen in the attached screen shot.

What am I doing wrong, why does it work in FaceFX and not UE4. I’ve spent over 72 hrs grinding on this and nothing seems to work. Pretty frustrating experience.
