Hi
This is my recent work using the scanned meshes of Ancient Hindu Temple monuments created with Reality Capture.

I am currently working to conserve, digitize and propagate Indian Heritage Architecture. As part of this activity, I have now scanned and digitized ancient and historic monuments from Karnataka - India including Badami Caves, Belur, Halebeedu, Nuggihalli, Nandi Hills, Aihole etc. These heritage architecture dates back to the 6th, 9th and 12/13th Centuries - commissioned by various dynasties.

Would love to receive your comments and feedback on the same.
Thanks

Hi there @GPuthige,

Hope you’re well and having a wonderful week so far.

As a history nerd, I loved gazing at some of the monuments and bits of architecture you included in this video. The roofing and detail in every building is just perfect. What was your favorite part of creating this project?

Hi @PresumptivePanda

Thanks for your appreciation and the keen interest you had in this video.

Most of the assets are meshes created from scanned images from various ancient Temples in India using Reality Capture.

Frankly, at first I was very skeptical if I could get the right render of what I had in mind. But as I brought the assets into UE and started playing with light, everything just fell in place.

I was keen on getting a mysterious look and feel and UE was just too good.

I have to admit that I was very much fascinated by the work of @ScansFactory especially their Ancient Temple ruins.

At the end of the day, it is how easy to convert your thoughts to renders with UE.

Cheers.

ScansFactory and their work definitely has the ability to inspire some incredible projects. Realistic assets have such a unique ability to bring environments to life. I hope you get the chance to create similar short films - I’d love to see them!
