Maya Body Control Rig Corrective Joint Question


I’ve written some tools to build a control rig on Metahumans characters in Maya. This is the one thing most needed to get me going in my preferred workflow.

I’m running into a problem, and that is the corrective joints move differently if I have the drv joints, or even a copy that is connected to the drv joints driven by controls. I am not sure how the corrective joints are driven, perhaps some sort of PSD?

My question is, how do I connect controls to the drv joints such that I do not change the behavior of the corrective joints?

Deformation is good without control rig attached, but once it is then the corrective joints move differently and the arm collapses at the shoulder.
