I’m trying to make a simple melee animation and would like the sword to control the hands.
I’ve constrained the hands to the sword but the constraint breaks as soon as I set a key frame.
Whenever you set up relationships / constraints in Maya, you should have the Channel Box visible. When you set a keyframe on a constrained object, you will get a blend attribute for turning the constraint on or off. This value will be set to zero by default after a keyframe. All you have to do is set the value to 1 after the first keyframe is set.
