Maya alembic cache with UE4 simulation


I’m a Maya user and new with UE.
I hope can make the simulation in UE. (Hair & clothes)

There have alot of tutorials that showing simulation with physical asset. And those physical asset its look like a capsule and created from Bone/skeleton.

I wonder if i using alembic cache workflow, (export character mesh - export alembic cache from maya)

The character not coming with bone/rig.
is that still possible to use physical asset to do simulation?

or is that any way to turn my original mesh become collision object?
