I’m thrilled to present the game project “Max Madness”, working on Unreal Engine 5.5. I started this project at the beginning of the year, heavily inspired by IPs like Mad Max, Fallout 3, and Metro Exodus - games that I really enjoy. I’ll be sharing more updates on my YouTube channel, but if you’re interested, you can also follow the game on Steam. Right now, my focus is on polishing the demo and presenting it to potential investors and/or publishers.
Hello @banzato ! Welcome back to posting with us here on the forums!
This was such a thrilling announcement to see. The trailer had me very curious about this game moving forward. I see you listed some inspirations, and I was a little curious if there would be any base building or maintenance?
Hi! Fallout 4 had a solid building system, but our idea is to focus more on base maintenance and place revitalization. We want to create a sense that the world is transforming and the player’s choices are having an impact. I know many people prefer more action-packed games, but I’d like to recapture the feeling of exploration and discovery that existed in Fallout 3. I believe the story will be a crucial part of the game, keeping players engaged and invested in the objectives.
I’ve been reaching out to publishers and investors this week, so fingers crossed they’ll like the idea and support the production. Without funding, it’ll be tough to bring this project to life in the way I envision. On a positive note, our project is now in the final prototype phase. We’ll have a complete demo soon, but we’re planning to share it only when we have other partners on board. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!
Thank you for explaining that! I think capturing the exploration and discovery highlighted in Fallout 3 would be a very good focal point.
I have my fingers crossed and wish you the best of luck! If you would like, feel free to tag me when the demo releases, as I’d love to continue supporting your work!
