Hi, I’ve set up a Matinee with a camera that is used through a director’s group. It works fine, but is there an option to take away the black borders that appear at the top and bottom of the view so the whole scene is seen?
Can you provide a screenshot of the problem please?
Hi Jacky, I mean the black areas when using Matinee cameras, like seen in this video in the minute 1:31.
Ahh, that depends on the aspect ratio of the screen and the camera. The viewport doesnt have a fixed aspect ratio so when you use a camera with it’s default settings it is normal to get letterboxing. You won’t have that when you view the cinematic in a new window i believe(if both your monitor’s and the camera’s aspect ratios are the same that is.)
Thanks for mentioning the aspect ratio, I’ve found out the solution: untick “Constraint Aspect Ratio” in the Camera Actior properties / Details.
Hi Albert,
“Constraint Aspect Ratio” could not be found in the Camera Actor Properties / Detail.
Do you have any idea where can I find that option in 4.15?
Thank you.
For anyone still struggling with this one: Constraint Aspect Ratio can be found under Camera Options.
- Select your camera
- Scroll down the details panel until you find Camera Options
- Expand it if it’s collapsed
- You’ll find the Constraint Aspect Ration checkbox at the top of this list
Note, if nothing appears in the details panel with your camera selected, try scrubbing to an active area in your Sequence timeline then reselecting your camera.
AWESOME THANKS!
