Purchasing this pack, you get about 100 dollars discount (about 40%) from the real price. With this pack, you will get more than 970 real-world heightmaps, created from satellite data - Digital Elevation Models. If you need realistic looking terrains/landscapes, this pack is the best you can get because it offers almost perfect copies of real terrains. Here you can find everything you need from mountains landscapes to lowlands, real-world rivers, real-world lakes, real world volcanos and many more. The precision is so high that you can even see man made footpaths, roads etc. The size of the real-world landscape vary from 4 square km to 64 square km, 100 square km, 256 square km and even 400 square km. So this bundle is perfect for both small projects and for open-world huge projects.

The setup is also very simple and all you have to do is to simply load the heightmaps into the Unreal Engine landscape system and before importing, type the correct XY and Z scales which can be found in the name of every heightmap/landscape from this pack (it is as simple as that, so you do not need third party plugins, software or accounts). In less than 10 clicks, with this pack, you can import a perfect copy of a real-world terrain into your project.

Landscape auto-materials from the above trailers are not included in this pack. If you want very high quality and smart auto-materials, please check my other packs and you can find there at least 20 landscape auto-materials which can be used with any of the heightmaps from this bundle.

Step By Step instructions of how to integrate the heightmaps into your level:

1. Install the FREE plugin: "ILIAD"

2. Select in the Content Browser the PNG heightmap you want to use in your project

3. Right click on the selected PNG texture (heightmap) and select ILIAD Actions - Export

4. Save the PNG heightmap to your hard disk (keep the same PNG format)

5. Open the map you want to import the heightmap into and select Landscape Mode

6. Choose option Import from file and select the previously exported PNG file

7. In order to keep the exact proportions of the real landscape, in the name of every heightmap you can find the X, Y and Z scales for that heightmap. For example, in the filename T_Yellowstone_1_XY_100_Z_32 , the X and Y scale is 100 and Z scale is 32. So type the correct XYZ scales and then press Import to import the heightmap into your level.

8. Done! In a few seconds you should see the landscape...

This pack contains 9 Demo Maps with World Partition Enabled.

All my REAL-WORLD heightmaps/terrains, including this one, are UNIQUE on Unreal Engine Marketplace because:

  1. I use real-world data with the best possible resolution (most of the cases 1 meter horizontal precision and about 30 cm vertical precision). Resolutions higher than this are not possible because of the current technological limits.
  2. I am the only one who's real-world heightmaps PRESERVE the real-world SCALE
  3. My real-world heightmaps are not procedurally generated in some kind of software like World Machine or Gaea where a heightmap can be generated in minutes. Instead, I use pretty complex manual methods to transform the High Resolution Digital Elevation Models (DEM) into heightmaps which are in the end perfect copies of real terrains/landscapes. Because of this, creating a single real-world heightmaps can take up to 3 hours.
  4. My real-world heightmaps are the only heightmaps from UE Marketplace which simultaneously respect all the above statements.
