Five seamless 16K (16384 x 8192) deep-field space panoramas for Unreal Engine 5 and Unity: a grand barred spiral, twin spirals, a galaxy trio, an edge-on knife-edge galaxy and a lone face-on spiral, set in sparse star fields with thousands of faint background galaxies and true black space. Realistic, quiet deep space with a natural high dynamic range - no busy, stylized starfields. Drop one onto an HDRI Backdrop and the whole scene is lit by it.
WHAT'S INSIDE
• 5 HDRI skyboxes at 16384 x 8192 (16K), seamless at the 360 degree wrap and clean at both poles
• 5 TextureCube skyboxes (Radiance .hdr sources) + 5 example levels (HDRI Backdrop + Post Process Volume with a locked, per-level exposure)
• Additional download: all 5 skies as 32-bit float OpenEXR masters + the raw 16K .hdr files
TECHNICAL DETAILS
• Radiance .hdr (RGBE) and 32-bit float OpenEXR (linear), 16384 x 8192 equirectangular / longlat
• TextureCubes use 4096 px faces (4 x 4096 = 16384 px around the horizon = full 16K detail, fast loading); set Max Texture Size to 0 for 8192 px faces
• Asset package for Unreal Engine 5.4 or newer, no third-party plugins
USE CASES
Space games, sci-fi cinematics, cockpit and ship scenes, virtual production backdrops, image-based lighting, menu and title screens, trailers.
Every gallery shot is the raw HDRI at a fixed exposure, rendered in Unreal Engine with Movie Render Queue - no post, no colour grading. What you see is what you get.
Important: the example levels use the FREE HDRI Backdrop plugin by Epic Games, which ships with Unreal Engine - enable it under Edit > Plugins (search "HDRI Backdrop", tick Enabled, restart).
UNITY
• .unitypackage for Unity 2022.3 LTS or newer: 5 Cubemap skyboxes (8192 px faces), 5 Skybox/Cubemap materials with per-sky exposure and 5 example scenes - press Play and look around with the mouse
• Built-in Render Pipeline scenes; the cubemaps and HDR files also work in URP and HDRP, no dependencies
