Math question - making a number get bigger slower

Hi,

I am struggling to find a way to make a value increase more the bigger it gets. I have a value of -2000 - 2000 that controls camera rotation, but I want it to rotate more towards the -2000 / 2000 range. I tried using log, and it may of worked i’m not even sure, it was messy. I probably won’t understand how or why it works but if someone could point me in the right direction it would help a lot. ty.

That would be exponential. Logarithmic is the opposite.

But how can you rotate the camera 2000, surely 360 is the limit?

The value is the distance the camera is from a center point. It get’s normalized and put into a lerp rotater. Will power work just the same with a negative value or can I use a decimal value?

Power works the same for negative numbers ( the power is still positive ). I think the effect you’ll have is just a kind of snapping.

Power seems to do exactly what I want, havn’t hooked it up yet but I can see the curve of the numbers. Thanks!
