Math operator searching in BP should be context sensitive for output.

This happens all the time: I pull a wire from a float node, type +, and press enter, thus adding a vector+float node, of all things. Then, I delete that node and try again, this time looking for the float+float that I want. The number of times I’ve done that or something similar with operators is pretty ridiculous.

Yeah, it’s quite annoying.
If I remember corretly - in UE 4.0 everything worked correctly, but then something bad happened =_=
