Materials problems. Is there a known bug?

A few days I seem to have developed a new problem. Initially 5.0 was working fine, but I was just importing assets and not working on materials. I then imported an object that needed a glass material applied and no matter what I did, even though I Was using a glass material the is already working on several objects, all it would give me on this new object was the default grid material. I went and completely rebuilt the model, but no difference.

Today I was trying to apply a glass material to a different object and was getting the same problem. But this time I noticed that my material preview was a bright pink colour with a super bright and sparkly background! I checked a few other materials and the previews for all the materials I’ve tried are all displaying the same pinkishness.

Does anyone have any idea what’s going on with these two issues and, hopefully, a way to fix things?

Your Blend Mode is Masked. Mine is Translucent.
