MATERIALS KEEP RESETTING TO REVIT DEFAULT AFTER SYNCING REVIT2024 to TWINMOTION 2023.1.2

This is really exasperating. Why are my material always resetting to revit default when I synch Twinmotiion with revit after changes. I always have to start all over. I don't understand. This is too much work.

Having the same issue with Revit 2025 and Twinmotion 2025

Is this a Datasmith file or an FBX export? I’m having a similar issue with an FBX, even using Revit 2025 and TM 2024.2. I’ve narrowed it down to only occurring on merged files. As long as I don’t merge one file into another, the materials stay after syncing. It’s super annoying though. I’ve modeled an entire town so it takes a good 4 hours to replace all of the materials when they get wiped out.

Hi, are you using the right import collapse option?
Please review this articleand report a bug if that doesn’t help.

Thank you

This problem of losing materials applied in Twinmotion after any update made to the source program (Revit or Sketchup) is really discouraging. I report that this is not a new problem because in versions from two years ago this also frequently occurred. I hope they resolve this definitively, as the program is well matured and has excellent tools.
