I am at a loss right now. I followed the documentation about creating custom parametric clothing for MetaHaumans. I was able to make it work, albeit not scaled correctly but that was not the point of my first run through.
The problem is now coming when I am trying to be precise. I found an outfit from Sketchfab and I’ve used it before on legacy MetaHumans. I have it scaled and rigged correctly and have even gone all the way through the tutorial and made it show in MetaHuman creator in 5.6.
The problem is the materials are not loading. And I cannot for the life of me figure out why. They don’t even show in the outfit preview. It happens as soon as I create the first Cloth Asset. I set it to the correct mesh, which shows the materials in the preview but not in the render screens inside the Data Flow graph.
The only difference between this time and the last time I followed the tutorial was the naming of the references. I have seen conflicting information about whether the outfit should be a skeletal mesh or static mesh. But I do not think that should affect the materials not rendering.
This is the static mesh loaded with correct materials applied
The following is from the dataflow Graph of the Cloth Asset. It shows the static mesh with correct materials but the renders do not.

I have double check all settings, re-imported the meshes, moved everything to the same folder in the directory, and I am just at a loss.
