Material stretches even if I edit UVs manually

I have managed to create my first appropriate UVs. Now I’m following this tutorial with a slightly more complex shape.

I followed all the steps but encountered with this weird problem. UVs aren’t looking like in map. How to fix that?

I don’t think anyone can train you to unwrap objects on this forum

What I would recommend, in the meantime, is a ‘box project’ ( or unwrap ). It deals with a lot of this sort of thing, and at least you can get on with things.

It’s available in Blender, and UE.

For this shape (if you do not want distortions) use cylinder mapping apply to whole object.

Then separate single vertical bunch (strip) of faces. Work on those. Finally apply same mapping to all other strips.

Sadly i cannot help with blender, so just general idea how i would unwarp this.
