Material mapping for large objects not flexible enough. How to sort it out?

Hi. I am trying to make a site plan and I created this high res image (4000x4000) and applied it to a flat surface. The issue is that it is split in 4 different parts and none actually show the location where it is at (there is an X in the orange area below). I have scaled the texture x500 as well to make it large and the issue is that when I now move the x or y axis then it just make a very very minimal move. I am sure I can find some sort of workaround by manipulating the jpeg file so it somehow shows the spot I am trying to get but surely there must be a way to sort it out?

I tried to change the mapping from the default one to cylindrical and various ones and reapply but it does not seems to make any change at all. I am surprised that it doesnt take the default image and center it though

I will try now create a smaller rectangle and scale the geometry rather than the texture and perhaps with that then the axis changes of 20 units may actually have the effect that I am seeking.

As I somewhat figured out, I was able to center the texture by scaling the geometry rather than scaling the texture. This works for this case as it is just a simple plane but this would not work should my geometry not be able to scale. If anyone have a solution for that please let me know.

Hello.

Cordialement.

Hello.

On your arch software:

- Scale your image to the scale of your archival document. (You "match" your photo and your DWG).

- Then you apply this image on your surface (which makes the surface of the photo) and you fix the UV.

- Finally, you export your 3d elements (here, obviously, small white volumes, roads and your surface hosting the photo).

---> On TM you should get a background image set correctly.

Cordially.
