Material looks like inside out

Today, I downloaded some character assets from fab and when I put the character in, it looks inside out, can someone help me?


Hello, there could be several things causing this.

Make sure your textures are plugged into the right channels in the material. And make sure to double check the settings for this material. You might even want to make a new material from scratch and put the textures into that to see if you get the same problem.

Check that the normal map texture is set to be read as a normal map. You can also try flipping the green channel, too.

You could check the model in Blender or Maya or some other modeling program, make sure that the face normals are not flipped.

Send a few more screenshots of what the material looks like and maybe I can be more helpful.

This sounds so complex to me as a new to ue or blender ect I’d rather go find something that works without fixing things. Thanks for replying :slight_smile:
