Material Issue

Hi

I am new to Unreal engine (currently using version 4.26.2). I am having an issue with a imported material on my character.

For some reason when I apply the material the face is showing blank (black), where as in the blueprint view, it shows the face, however it is covered.

Is there a way of fixing this in Unreal engine? as on the texture its self, there doesn’t appear to be anything wrong.


For other characters, I have used Mixamo to create a skeletal mesh, which requires the import of an FBX file.
For the other characters I could import and export FBX files fine. In this instance my FBX file wouldn’t show in Mixamo, so I needed to import an OBJ file which obviously
doesn’t include terxtures. After I animated my character, I added the animated (fbx) file to Unreal and then reattached the texture later, thus this isue is happening.

Can you show the texture? If it’s not ok, there nothing you can do in the Engine, you’ll need to correct it at source.

I think you have a UV problem, these parts are getting mapped to the face:

Try changing the material that for that part, and see if the face blobs change…

Hi, no luck :(, Made the changes however the same issue still applies
