Material Issue When Changing Skeleton of a Mesh

i have a character mesh and i wanted to replace its skeleton with another similar skeleton. so i exported the character from ue4 to ue5 and made some adjustment to its skeleton and then imported the character back to ue4. now everything works fine but character’s original material would not apply correctly to the mesh anymore.

by the way i dont know much about UVs or materials so any help would be deeply appreciated.
