Material attribute layers and nanite broken?

Hi. I’m having no luck trying to get nanite to play nice with landscapes. I know it’s an unfinished feature, but I’m hoping for a solution anyway.

Question: I’m doing a landscape material using the material attribute layers system, but with nanite enabled I get these errors where the level seems to have tiles randomly moved and the layer painting system stops working.

Image 1: landscape without nanite, layer painting works
Image 2: landscape with nanite, layer painting just breaks. Whole tiles are covered.
Image 3: you can see the edges of the tiles.

Anyone know why this is happening?
