Hi All,
I’m new to Unreal and looking for a some advice.
I have a massive project I need to render and walk around with Clients for way finding training, it’s too big to do anything in the standard Revit/Autodesk plugins/tools so I thought I’d give it a crack with Unreal. (I tried Twinmotion and it was too big for it too)
The project has 17 Datasmith files ranging from 1.5mb to 210mb and as a result about 100k actors, in varying complexity, I have seen quite a few actors with over 100k triangles and some up to over 300k.
In an attempt to try and help the frame rate I have changed the LOD for all the elements to “LevelArchitecture” and then built the scene.
The model is still extremely hard to get around, Crashes all the time, I simply can’t do anything in it at the moment.
Is there anyway to optimize the model more?
I am trying to get as many elements out of the models as I can before exporting to Datasmith, but it’ll be limited so not sure how much it’s going to help going forward.
