Hey TheSubZer0!
So I had this issue myself and found out that it was because I was using a monitor going through a dock. It may be an issue centered around how many monitors you have going, or if there are any middlemen. It was a very weird situation for me since games ran fine. If you’ve tried everything else, maybe that’s the culprit. Hope that helps! Sorry I don’t have more information. Maybe another might.
My game was running fine until yesterday… I use 2 monitors: the 1st 24" 1080p on the NVIDIA video card. The 2nd 19" 900p on the motherboard VGA (Intel HD 630 1GB): Multi monitor IGH. Both with drivers in the latest version, that’s strange.
I would say maybe try disconnecting the VGA monitor from the onboard chipset and see if that changes anything. It could be related to the fact that they’re of different resolutions. And make sure their refresh rate is matched!
Other than that I don’t know. Maybe go into Nvidia’s software and make sure that it’s hard set to have Unreal use your 1060? It could be trying to run off of your chipset for some reason.
Disconnecting and restarting did not help. I set the GTX 1060 to run editor.exe and game.exe in the nvidia app and in the windows settings.
Solved it by re-updating the NVIDIA driver, I had updated it once this week, maybe that was it. Tip: When you find a stable driver version, take at least 9 months before upgrading to a new version.
