Mass Replication with Player Characters

Hello,

I’m a couple months into my MASS side project now. I’m in the process of trying to do player syncing with 2 Players, a listen server, and N number of mass entities. All my entities are flagged with my own bubble info / replicators and such. Both players can connect, and see everything happening, that’s all well.

However, what’s not working, is an issue that my characters do not have any Replicator Traits on them. And when I do go to add them, the TemplateRegistry is unable to find them (resulting in a check assert during runtime). These, to my knowledge are runtime generated TemplateIDs that will be unique per character, and thus can’t load from a templateregistry.

My characters follow the ‘first 60 minutes with mass’ tutorial. So i have my puppet config, a set of another trait builders on an entity; and I have a syncing system that works from Mass←→Actor fine just running locally.

So my question - are Characters supposed to be transferred with bubble info handlers/fast arrays / replication that way, or are they supposed to use basic actor syncing setup? Are we supposed to hoist a ‘mirror entity’ side by side our actor that does the syncing?

I was not able to find character replication clarifications online/llms etc.

Thanks!
