Mass for destructible mesh

Hello there,
I am wondering how can you set the mass of a destructible object? The problem is that you can set it for the static one, but once it becomes destructible, the option disappears. My destructible cube bounces off like a ball.

I solved the problem by adding physics material, but the cube still bounces when I apply the radial force to it.

Hi Kvazimodo,

I tested this compared to a static mesh with the same scale and was able to see that it appears that the Mass is not being properly set for the Destruction asset. I’ve submitted a report for this (UE-5642).

Thank you!

Tim

Wow. So we’ll have to wait for the patch then I assume? Hmm… :stuck_out_tongue:

4 years later. “Won’t fix”. No explanation.

6 years later either… I got the same problem here, I have to uncross “simulate physics” so the destruction is good but if I destroy the middle of the wall, the upside stay levitate
