Masking out bad green screen

Hi all,

I’ve done a trial run of taking photos of a branch on a rotating platform.  This is the first time I’ve done it, so I did a (very) crappy job with the green screen (it was creased, creating shadows, etc - see photos below).  I believe this has led to RC having a difficult time aligning the photos properly.  (I’m also modifying the base to be circular instead of square - whoops!).

Is there a way to do some masking in RC that would help out with this, or should I process the pics in photoshop?

In the future, I’ll do a better job with the green screen.  However, there are surely going to be some more screw ups (I’m working in the field in the tropical rainforest), so understanding what things I can correct for (and what I cannot), and how to do so will be very useful.

Thanks!

Allie

update: i used some green screen photoshop plugins to remove the background, and they do a surprisingly good job given my poor setup.  I still had to remove the white bar on the bottom, and the deeply shadowed areas around it.  But all in all, pretty good.
