Mask export "operation failed"

I have a problem to export the Masks. It starts calculating and aborts directly with the message “Operation failed”.
What could be the reason for this? I have enough credits.

What is completely unfair is that my credits are deducted. Regardless of whether this is my fault or not, you should only pay when the service has been completed.

Hello,
Support gave me an idea. My mask should be saved on a network drive. This did not work. If I changed the path directly to my local workstation, it worked straight away.

I must also say at this point that the problem with the credits was solved without any problems. All the “wasted” credits were credited to me. Great support!

I have the same problem here! Masks won’t export, even if i change the directory on my local workstation.

Hi Guillaumejanoyer, do you have any special characters in your file’s directory? Do you have also your dataset on local workstation?

hi 374823146340, the only special caracters is an underscore in the name of my photos. also i have external HD plug into an OWC hub that i use for my dataset. I tried toexport on my local SDD, but wont work too. I start another projet for another scan, and it work great both on my external HD et internal SSD. I changed nothing…

I’m having the same exact issue. This is looking like a bug on reality captures end…

Can the program simply give a reason for the error other than just spitting out an error message?

I am also having the same problem. I have tried renaming my inputs also. All work is being carried out on my local SSD. I have tried several variations of export settings including the defaults. I am using the preview model for my mask this is still supported yes?

I was able to export after full reconstruction in normal detail

374823146340 Hi Ondrej, Thanks for getting back with me! I was able to resolve the issue by doing the process a second time but with normal construction to the mesh done before masking. I think we all have our own workflow of masking the images and in one of those workflows is a bug and I cant seem to pin down which area that bug is in the program.

The bug might be due to masking a preview version of the computed mesh rather a normal computed mesh. I hope this info helps. Overall though this software runs very well for me other than this bug, Thanks again!

Thank you for this info. Is it possible to share your data with us to test it on our site? For me it is working also with a preview model.

Thank you! Same problem solved here: first I tried to export from a preview model, what caused an error. After reconstructing in normal mode it worked fine!!

Same issue here. Maybe it has something to do with specific hardware? I never had such problem with my old pc (Intel 4771, Geforce 1060), but my first project on the new pc (Ryzen 5950X, Geforce 3060) is infested with all kind of problems, including this - export masks operation failed.

were you masking Preview or Normal model?

It was preview model. Following advice in this forum thread, i generated normal model and masks exported without issues.
