Hi, maybe i haven’t been looking hard enough but some kind of indexed list of purchases made in the marketplace would be very useful when it becomes much more saturated in the future. At the moment it seems you have to find any purchases you have made within the marketplace. Depending on how it evolves it will be quite awkward to have to remember the title of what you have purchased and then go search for it to download. I did see the Vault section in the Library but that is only for purchases that have already been downloaded.
Just a suggestion that might be useful in the future!
Edit: I think I should have put this in the marketplace section…
it is good to have a general list of purchases, but what he meant was rather to have a section in the marketplace called “Purchased”, so you can browser for your assets and download them.
Image you have 10 assets that you already bought and are now setting up a new project. You create the project and search on the marketplace for asset1, download it, install it, search for asset2….instead of just having a list to click through, which would be much more convenient.
How would that be different from searching for them in the vault, exactly? There’s also added functionality that allows you to quickly add them to projects from within the vault / library. Seems that, in that instance, there’s already a solution that works very well.
However, I do agree that it’d be nice to have a ‘Purchases’ list within the Marketplace tab, somewhere. One that lists purchased content from the marketplace - only - and not subscription fees / payments. That’d be nice.
Please correct me if i’m wrong, but dont you have only assets in your vault that are already downloaded? If theres a download too there, then just ignore my posts, since thats exactly what i would want
indygoof gets what i’m trying to say. It would be more user friendly in my opinion to have a new tab called Purchases in the marketplace. This tab could have a list of the ordered content for that account with a download button beside each. This would be far better than having to look up a static list on a webpage.
(turbosquid has a list of purchased content on that account so you don’t have to search through all the categories to find what you bought previously to download again. I’d say many more do too)
I bring it up because i installed ue4 on my new laptop and i have to go search for what i downloaded before. So when there is more content in the marketplace it’ll be harder to find everything.
And yeah, the Vault is only for content that has already been downloaded onto the computer.
