Hi there,
Looking for some help regarding the Unreal Licensing Agreement, specifically in relation to assets purchased on the Marketplace.
‘ii. sell, rent, lease, or transfer Licensed Content on a “stand-alone basis” (Projects must reasonably add value beyond the value of the Licensed Content, and the Licensed Content must be merely a component of the Project and not the primary focus of the Project);’
Can anyone clarify what is exactly meant by on a “stand-alone basis?”
For our project, we are creating some 360° images for an educational platform and we have been using various asset packs from the Marketplace to build these scenes. We have been using the demo maps as a starting point and then we have been adding various characters and additional props. If we are then capturing a variety of 360° images from various viewpoints within this environment, uploading them to an educational platform with information hotspots would this be okay from a licensing point of view? I’ve messaged the asset pack/content creators individually and they have confirmed it’s okay but I just wanted to double check from an Unreal perspective.
Many thanks,
Stuart
