What you’re saying is partly true. Games like The Pit and RvB are super popular and have basically become genres of their own on Fortnite. Same goes for Prop Hunt, it’s definitely its own genre too, but unlike RvB or The Pit, the map design in Prop Hunt varies a lot from one map to another. The design, along with the UI, is what really makes a prop hunt map stand out, not just the fact that it’s a Prop Hunt.
We’re talking about more creative experiences here than just a hole in the floor or a red vs blue arena.
That said, I really hope someone at Epic Games wakes up. I’ve been reporting this issue for such a long time now, and getting zero response or support from them is honestly really discouraging as a creator…
