I have enjoyed playing through Borderlands 4 and have completed the game with Rafa. I was playing through as Amon, the Forgeknight, and have gotten fairly far into it. A recent patch download seems to have triggered a map cascade. All of the spots I opened the first time through are on the map again and I can’t reset it so I can explore them again with the new character. I even tried starting a new game, but that hasn’t worked either.
Any ideas of what I can do to rectify this?
Hey! Man, the game is honestly so good, really sucks that you hit a bug like this. Regarding the map issue - have you tried verifying the game files in Steam/Epic or disabling cloud saves before restarting? Sometimes cloud syncing forces a merge on the profile.sav file, which bleeds map progression across different characters.
I haven’t fully finished it myself yet, just beat Vile Lictor recently. I’m playing Amon right now, pushing deep into the Vengeance tree around the Wrathfall capstone. I’ve been running a heavy Shock/Cryo loop using Stormlance to prime targets for guaranteed crit detonations, while Cryonic Thrum and Tail of the Comet handle freezes and keep my health topped off. What would you recommend in terms of build setups going forward? I’ve mostly been following this guide for elemental scaling and splitting skill points. Have you found any other fun gear or synergies that worked well for you later in the game?
