Hi,
I got stuck with probably simple thing but i cant move on…
After aligning images i got 13components and in every component has model completely different scale, orientation etc… and i cannot merge them anyhow even when my photos are with GPS location…
How could I solve this and get all the pictures into one component and one model?
thanks a lot
You can re-run alignment with “Merge Components Only” set to TRUE.
That will try to merge the components together.
Best case you will end up with only one or at least fewer components than before.
Hi Tomas B
If it is possible, get some additional images, as 211 images for this area seem to be not sufficient -> OVERLAP is just approximately 2.6 which is not good. What overlap settings did you use when planning the shots ? best if you go with 80-90% overlap, RC can easily handle the data volume and it helps not only for alignment, but you will get models and textures of much better quality…
If not, then you need to use control points to get it together…
@ShadowTail
Good idea with “merge components only” but unfortunately it reduced the components just to 8
@Wishgranter
You are right, the amount of the pictures for this area is not enough, but i have the same problem with bigger project and i wanted to save a bit of time by testing with this smaller project.
In case i have the same problem even with better overlaping images, is the best way to solve it to use the Control Points?
