Mantle Place brings a real place into Unreal Engine 5.8. Draw a site on mantle.place, and the plugin builds it in your level: a Landscape from real elevation, aerial imagery draped on it, the surrounding buildings, typed road splines and the land cover, each placed where it belongs, in your level's own coordinates.
Free to try, properly. Sites up to 2 km² are free: $0, the same quality as a paid order, an account but no payment method.
Watch the whole flow, from drawing a site to the finished import, in under two minutes:

Quick start
- Draw a site on mantle.place and order it for Unreal Engine.
- In the editor, open Window ▸ Mantle Place and sign in. Your browser handles it; there is no token to paste.
- Pick the order and press Import, then File ▸ Save All. The importer saves nothing on its own.
Already have a bundle .zip? Browse to it from the same panel. No account, no network.
Good to know
- Unreal Engine 5.8, Win64, editor-only. The output is ordinary Unreal assets and actors you can sculpt, paint and build on.
- On a World Partition level, the landscape streams as proxies, each layer family gets its own Data Layer, and terrain and buildings get HLOD layers.
- Trees arrive as a species-typed data table, and optionally as a PCG scatter that keeps off water and streams per cell.
- Importing the same order again replaces the previous import. It never duplicates it.
- Not imported yet: a landscape material that renders the painted land cover layers (bring your own for now); land use, water body and road surface polygons; published contours; and the stylized map drape.
