Hi guys, i’m after information on how to make an Animation?
I want to make it for a Kangaroo Animation so it can hop…
Someone told me i can use some built in method in UE5 and another said Blender.
If someone could point me in the correct direction or a link to some info would be great,
Thanks.
Hey there @2DNED! Most users will use a third party program like Blender to animate, as it has slightly more tools, plugins, and utilities than Unreal does because it’s focused on modeling, rigging, and animation. However, yes Unreal Engine does contain tools to animate, and would be preferred if you use some of the internal tools in your pipeline like Control Rig or Livelink. It’s up to you which you’d prefer to learn first, as for the simple use case of animating an already fully rigged character, you can use either without issue.
I’ll go ahead and include both some Blender resources as well as some Unreal resources for animation.
