MAKE A FORTNITE SANDBOX MODE
Create a Sandbox mode that would allow players to just mess around with all of the game’s assets
WHY?
Not everyone wants to make maps just for money. Some do it for fun (me), and some people do it just to mess around with stuff for fun (also me). The current state of UEFN does not allow for fully utilizing Fortnite as an engine, and I do NOT believe it ever will with the way Epic is currently developing it. Stuff like the asset blacklist and the lack of tools and features present in base UE, like Blueprint Graphs, are some of the reasons why I think it won’t ever get to that point.
Sometimes I will just run an emulated Fortnite server on an older build for fun because I enjoy just messing around and tinkering with stuff. Unfortunately, those emulated servers are not 1:1 with the official ones, which lead to instability and inaccuracies. Stuff like Quests, AI functionality (stuff like Player Bots, guards, bosses, wildlife, NPCs, etc.), Conversations, and so much more just don’t work at all due to the game client missing server-side assets.
A Sandbox mode would allow for more than UEFN ever could, without the worry of security concerns.
HOW?
Sandbox mode would most likely run on your local PC with a game server specially made for it, so that it can’t be used to somehow harm Epic’s dedicated servers. The Sandbox mode game server would include everything the official ones have for all features and gameplay functionality to work, except for some things like the anticheat (for obvious reasons, plus it’s not needed for a local game) and anything that allows for connections to Epic’s own databases (Backend related stuff, etc.). Everything from past Fortnite builds would be available to mess around with, including things that are no longer present in the current build’s files.
MY POINT
My point is that I think making a sort of “Sandbox” mode that TRULY lets you do whatever you want with Fortnite’s engine would be just amazing. It would allow for people who just love messing around with how the game works to make something cool for fun. Heck maybe Epic could even take inspiration from stuff they might see people make with this mode. There are plenty of talented creators out there who would just make something with this game just for the sake of making it. Money is NOT everything, so you shouldn’t need to be able to earn money just to make something cool.

Anyways that’s my request. If you read all this then THANK YOU SO MUCH! I’m sorry for such a long post but I REALLY want to be able to just mess around with Fortnite. It is one of my favorite things to do and I do believe this would be possible to accomplish with Fortnite.
